Fodor's 2010 Review

We're happy to report that Fodor's Travel Guide 2010 has given DC GuestHouse a wonderful review.   The review starts, "Grand and gorgeous as this double town house is, it's hard to imagine it as a private home, which it was until 2002. Now its eclectic magnificence is yours to enjoy..."

We appreciate the comments from on of the most recognized travel advisors in the industry.   Fodor's Guides can be purchased at most large bookstores, and the review can also be found on their website at www.Fodors.comwww.Fodors.com.

Spiffing up the Joint

With the full blast of winter in the air, now is a great time for us to finish some projects around the guesthouse.   New linens, polished floors, and freshing up the decor - the season is hardly slow for us.

One project that we are very proud to unvail is our new promotional video that we hope gives prospective guests a glimpse into the DC Guesthouse experience.   We very thankful to the all the guest who contributed to the video by  explaining why they stay at with us.

You can see the video by selecting it from the House Tour Menu or by clicking here.

If you plan on visiting us this winter, never fear, there are plenty of great sightseeing and entertainment options.  January and Febuary is the best time for visiting Washington's  many museums.   With no lines and no admission fees at most museums in the city, you can see in a few days what it might take a week to see in the summer.

The Winter Garden

Now the days are short, yet the garden is alive with a romantic, sculptural beauty. Evergreen and Christmas lights add to the promise of what is to come as the days soon start to lengthen.
