Fodor's 2010 Review

We're happy to report that Fodor's Travel Guide 2010 has given DC GuestHouse a wonderful review.   The review starts, "Grand and gorgeous as this double town house is, it's hard to imagine it as a private home, which it was until 2002. Now its eclectic magnificence is yours to enjoy..."

We appreciate the comments from on of the most recognized travel advisors in the industry.   Fodor's Guides can be purchased at most large bookstores, and the review can also be found on their website at www.Fodors.comwww.Fodors.com.

Blackbook Magazine Review

On the Blackbook.com website the editor wrote the following about DC GuestHouse:

Sprawling federalist townhouse in prim Shaw neighborhood home to biggest, craziest art collection outside the Smithsonian. Anti-Victorian ethos pulls off fabulous eclectic assault armed with reclaimed furniture, spackling, and the sheer fancy of unscripted queer eyes. No color not used, no ironic knickknack left behind. Favorite of creative professionals, indie business travelers who long ago crossed off the list of corporate multi-stars downtown. Drink coffee with the cook while he whips up your Martha Stewart breakfast.

TravelLady Magazine - Art is a MUST

travelladyheader

TravelLady Magazine wrote about our art collection and other amenities.

DC GuestHouse: Your own Personal Museum for the Night -- ...Taking my bag, I followed him (the host) into the front hall and was immediately surrounded by art: Asian, African, American Indian; modern, folk art, sculptures and paintings. “Wow,” I breathed. ... Business or pleasure, the DC GuestHouse is a destination all by itself!

Here at the DC GuestHouse, we take great care choosing and displaying  our art.   It's great when our guests appreciate it.
